Flow-Out is a group exhibition taking place in an outdoor space: a large geodesic dome surrounded by woods. Flow-Out features installations, sound projections, prints, performances, and animations by Wyatt Bertz, Hyoju Cheon, Alejandro Contreras, Noga Cohen, Avishag Cohen Rodrigues, Juan Hernández Díaz, Char Jeré, Meaghan Elyse Lueck, Keli Safia Maksud, Farah Mohammad, Merry Sun, and Motohiro Takeda.
The participating artists are invited to think about this site, its natural features, and to create their work from a perspective of transformation. What is the meaning of change? How do we engage with elements in nature ––such as light, sound, and time–– that are constantly changing? How could we think about transformation from both material and immaterial perspectives? How do we perceive changes at different scales, from the time passing during a day to the annual changes that come with the seasons? How can something be site-specific while being in a mode of transition?
