INTER / ACTIVA
La interacción entre el espectador y la obra de arte siempre ha sido un tema fundamental en mi trabajo.
La relación entre una obra de arte y el público que la percibe es uno de los mayores misterios de la historia del arte.
En esta pieza titulada INTER/ACTIVA, el público se convierte en partícipe activo de esta relación al pedirle que frote la placa de mármol para crear un roce y generar un dibujo personal. La forma y manera en que el público haga este ejercicio generará piezas únicas interiorizando la escultura a través del dibujo.
INTER / ACTIVE
The interaction between the viewer and the work of art is something that has always been a constant in my work. How a work is presented and how the audience may react to it is one of art's greatest mysteries and questions.
In this work, titled INTER / ACTIVE, the audience is asked to make a "frottage" of a marble slate which contains only a dot and a single line. The way the audience rubs the piece will generate a unique copy of the sculpture, internalizing the object in front of them by creating a drawing. As each member of the audience rubs the work differently, the possibilities of outcome are endless. The audience can then take the image with them or leave one next to the piece.
