Glenn Goldberg is an artist working in the realms of painting, objects, printmaking, video and collaborative experiment. For CLEA RSKY Willard he has made “Desert Friend”. Desert friend is a colored paper mache and polystyrene duck with decorative tattoos on its body. Ducks generally live in and near water. This particular duck is a curious one and has wandered into the ranching country in the vast New Mexican desert. She is proud and thriving without the typical green vegetation, which is a testimony to her adaptability and inner strength. She loves having visitors so do stop by and say hello.
Glenn Goldberg was born in the Bronx and continues to live and work in New York. His works have been exhibited extensively throughout the United States and Europe and are included in the permanent collections of numerous public institutions including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York; Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles; The National Gallery of Art, Washington D.C.; Soloman R. Guggenheim Museum, New York; Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, and others.
